Kristin Schwenke Block

Kristin Schwenke Block earned her Master of Fine Arts (MFA) from Washington University in St. Louis in 1992, and her artistic journey has flourished across galleries, publications, and commercial illustration. Her work has been exhibited at the prestigious Milwaukee Art Museum and featured in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, reflecting both critical recognition and artistic excellence.

Beyond the gallery walls, Kristin's artwork has appeared in national publications including USA Today and Peoplemagazine, as well as numerous trading card series, showcasing her versatility as both a fine artist and commercial illustrator.

Today, Kristin's portfolio extends far beyond her celebrated equine artwork. While horses remain one of her signature subjects, she now creates enchanting fantasy worlds filled with magical cottages, woodland creatures, whimsical witches, seasonal celebrations, gothic charm, and imaginative storytelling. Whether she's painting a majestic horse, a cozy autumn village, or a spellbinding Halloween scene, every piece is rich with emotion, movement, and intricate detail.
