John Enright
John began painting at a young age, studying the masters of Renaissance art in Europe before the age of sixteen by sketching directly from museum sculptures and paintings. He refined his skills through private study in classical mediums including oils, watercolor, pastel, and charcoal. After completing four years of formal training, he was accepted with advanced standing into the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, where he studied illustration under world-class artists and developed a strong professional work ethic.
John went on to work as an art director for multiple advertising agencies before transitioning into freelance illustration, with early assignments in the film, music, book, and magazine industries. His passion for fantasy and science fiction led to international licensing success, with over 500 artworks commissioned worldwide for collector plates, puzzles, posters, and related products.
Throughout his career, John has collaborated with legendary figures and organizations including Bill Graham’s Winterland Productions, Atari, Lucasfilm, and major studios and brands. Today, he continues to evolve his work through digital illustration and mixed media, blending classical themes with contemporary storytelling and imaginative expression.
